a female chancho lol. I'd go with the same species but it depends what you like. Knowing how big chanchos get I'm thinking the only fish that get big enough to hold their own against him would be dovii or haits but I probably wouldn't want to mix either of them with the chancho. Maybe a snook or a p-bass or something?

A female Chanco? does he not haver males? also wouldn't a extra larger jag work or sutmihg? I was thinking of having the two large ones, then getting eaither 6 convicts, or 6 jacks for target fish and their fry to be kinda like idk food or just swimming around

A female  I'm really sure as I have not owned one but I thought I'd take the opurtunity to be funny. I'm sorry if I offended you that was not my intent. but I'm sure that only 1 other ish(cichlid wise0 could be an issue. You might want atleast 3 tyo spread aggression. But as I said I have not kept them.

Sounds like a copol project though. Good Luck.

I mean I would get a male and a female. If you're paying for shipping I suggest getting 5 of them and waiting for them to pair off, then selling the remaining 3. Not a lot of people around breeding chanchos. Its up to you what you want to put with them.

well im not really looking into breeding right now, i would rather get like 2 large males that will setup territories and have some little disputes but not like killing each other. Any two species that u think will work? I talked to him and he said he used them to feed his rtm?????? so theres two left.

Lol, sometimes if things don't sell well thats what happens. No idea what two fish fight but don't kill each other, all depends on the personality of the fish. From my experience my breeding pairs are always fighting when kept with one another and no other fish.

So im thinking a RD and a Jag, idk bout the Chanco.
The reason behind the RD and Jag is i can get both of them localy wich means cheap for me, also i can get a good number of jack dempseys localy for like 8 a pop

CAMPHILOPHUS: You're being a bit misleading in your criticism of Jeff's pricing. Yes, his Chanchos are more expensive than Ken's, but Jeff's stocklist indicates his fish are much larger than the 1.5" fish you noted from Ken's list.

They both have nice fish for sale.
