Hbo should do a spin off following kal drogo and the horse lords. Theres enough structure and things about their culture from the book to work with but enough freedom to make it your own without grrm

Remember this (and keep in mind I like Jaime too):

Eddard Stark: Handsome armor. Not a scratch on it.

Hence why I always had the feeling Jaime was a paper champion ... great natural talent, but people feared his family more than him.
 
You guys do need to remember he slayed the unarmored unarmed king with a stab to the back... Now if he fought a young Robert baratheon in the same way I think he would have been bashed by his hammer

He was good, good enough to be appointed kings guard at 16 the youngest ever, and being a squire of Selmy he probably picked up on a lot of good technique. But like Darth said he focused on his main hand, if he is as good as is projected it probably won't take long for him to get good with the left. Or figure out attaching a weapon to his right is the best way to go, if he was like a medieval murryl he'd destroy after being trained in dirty tactics by Bron.

As for Drogo, he was a beast and could have owned life itself hadn't of been for Danys bleeding heart for some witch. Just goes to show mercy is mostly answered by betrayal, just like in real life. An example would be forgiving a cheating girlfriend and staying with them. We all know its a bad move after the first time haha I have yet to know of a couple who either of them cheated on the other, was forgiven and never cheated again.

Yup even Selmy says he was one of the best he has ever seen. His muscle turned into fat lol.

And a warhammer? One good hit to the flat of any sword would have sent it flying out of anyone's hand.

Yea I kno GRRM mentions in the books how much a beast Rhaegar Targaryen was he was supposed to be a return to the old days of warrior kings for the Targaryens and Robert stomped him in battle. I want HBO to do a prequel season telling of that war and the drama of the Stark sister and Roberts love and how the Brandon Stark and his father were murdered by mad king.

so book readers, is Daemon Blackfyre the best fighter?


and i'm all for prequels and spinoffs. but is it a good idea to not include GRRM?

i'm just wondering if they had the wrong people behind the scenes to a spinoff of Drogo, for example, if it would suck and be a complete waste of time, and crap all over an awesome character
 
btw, khal drogo is the darth maul of westeros

total badass, kicks butt, huge potential, very cool character, dies way too soon to something lame like a mere apprentice and freakin infection
 
As far as a best fighter from us book readers I don't know if GRRM ever says who without a doubt is the best fighter in Westeros but he does mention how his Loras Tyrell is in tourneys and with weapons. As far as old past characters like Daemon Blackfyre he also says people like a young Robert Baratheon and Brandon Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen were all fierce warriors.
