There is a good chance that lyanna actually wasn't kidnapped like Robert says but just eloped with him because Robert has always been sleeping around the way he does and rhaegar seems like a much better option.

dude, seriously, you're giving away information I'd rather not know

I never even would've thought about jon snow's backstory if you never would've brought this up. I never thought twice about him except wondered who was this woman ned stark had an affair with. that's it.

I would've preferred to be blind sided by his story, now your spoilers disguised as speculations have ruined any twist to jon snow's real history. especially if he's any way related to freakin dany
 
These are things we know by this point in the story! Maybe I'm mixing up what info is given away in the TV show vs the book but by this point all these things have been brought up. A lot of people have already connected the dots here

I don't remember the show ever hinting about jon snow's background. this whole time until you mentioned something otherwise, I thought ned stark was his real dad and had cheated on cat stark

on other forums with a lot more traffic, there are threads about strictly the show, and a separate thread about the books

you guys wishing to discuss further about future characters, plots, and any info that may be a spoiler should create a GoT Book thread.

I'm never gonna read the books so I appreciate the readers not spoiling anything
 
besides, you're the only one I recall comparing the show to the books as far as future possible plots or character backstory reveals or things that have not happened yet.

any time a reader has compared the show to the book is when it has already happened on the show

some have answered questions like when asked if we will see more of the giants in the future. but that's not really a big deal

talking about jon snow possibly being related to dany targarian is opening a door to possible spoilers and it reveals possible plots that would've otherwise blown our minds (us non readers)
 
and I seriously don't recall the show revealing anything about jon other than he's ned stark's bastard

if they did hint at it, please point me to the episode as i'd love to go and rewatch it because I obviously missed it
 
Im not sure what good a book thread would do unless it was for the 7th book as 6 of the 7 books are already out. Theres nothing new to discuss as its being revealed.

Maybe buff should join a book club so they can read the same book and chapters and they can meet weekly/monthly to discuss what just happen. Lol. Check your local library or make your own on facebook

Hes on book 5 and the show is on book 3.5 so no wonder lines are getting blurred.

Actually, only 5 of the 7 books are out. Can't wait for the 6th.
