Fake mini hot dogs!

BTW None of my fish will these disgusting things until they are starving, and then they quit right away. I did not show the brand name but you can figure it out.

I've got $15 jar here that's going to go into the worm farm.

You know that stuff looks like the fake hamburger people used to feed their...dogs

Yup, beefheart is now generally considered bad for fish.

I'm not sure if there's any actual science to back up that "Feeding land animal meat to aquatic animals is bad for them" claims though. So I'm skeptical it matters in moderation.

RD. RD.

Strictly going off of this claim of beef heart being bad, do you think this means that there may be consequences down the line at adult hood for the fish that were fed beef heart in a large amount when they were young to encourage growth?

Felix spit the sticks , but then immediately ate a Tetra shrimp wafer. Go figure?

Maybe because of the shape of the sticks he thought they were worms, and when they weren't he was violently disappointed.

Felix loves him some worms. Even from a young age, he was a worm eatin' machne.

Does this mean you like hot dogs fried, grilled, or boiled? I'm single minded and stubborn

Maybe you should tell people you are focused and persistent! ;)

I like most cooked hot dogs equally well if they are not too salty. On the other hand they must have enough salt to suppress the deadly bacteria Spiroagnewosis tubiicolli.

Seriously, the best way to cook hot dogs is on a stick over a campfire. I am sure my fish would prefer it that way as well, but it is so incredibly difficult to take fish camping.

True, most cookouts I've been to the dogs are boiled lightly then finished off on the grill. For some reason the turkey dogs were always the saltiest, not sure why! They don't have nearly the flavor of beef, or pork. I'd rate chicken dogs 3rd. To me they had a 'soda cracker' aftertaste.

Speaking of worm shaped food I ordered some of the Hikari Vibra bites but was disappointed as the 'fake worms' were far too small for my fish. If they had 'em full size that would work.

We need a hamburger thread next! :grinyes:
