A new level of stupid

well if he didnt feed them what would they have ate? what would live rock feed them? i dont have a salt water so i am asking. the same lfs chain near me would never give that info.. at least i hope not.. i think the guy just jumped in with much less than half the info he needed and used no common sence. he made the mistake why ask you to pay for it.. he needs to ask for his money back from the person that gave him the bad info.

If he hadn't turned into such a jerk, I would have worked out a deal of some sort with him but when I start getting told how I "should" run my business and that the local "experts" who told him that he didn't need to be feeding his fish know what they are talking about or they wouldn't be in business so long etc...etc...etc.... Screw "em, I don't need the agravation.

I'm sure your shop will attract the customers that actually know something when you weed the morons out. Good for you for telling him to piss off. We need more stores like yours that carries more than tetras and barbs. Customers like that arent needed.



BTW i hope to be there saturday....looks like we're all going to be able to go this time unless mother nature turns into a whore again.
 
Yeah, I guess any business will get the occasional moron, seems like the aquariums business might have more than average sometimes.

I don't at all mind beginners who are learning and need help, I do mind people who are arrogant and seem to think I need to pay for thier learning experiance.

This kind of stuff is discouraging to me. The guy really was a jerk to me and was pretty insulting. I can't get over how stupid this guy was and then was pissed at me for not giving him a refund or replacment fish. That's not even reasonable of him to ask. Now I'm the bad guy in his eyes and I'm sure he'll run his mouth about it to other aquarium shops or people.

Oh, and Mr. Rally.... I'll be there on Saturday from 12:00 noon untill about 3 or 4. I am hoping to get another shipment in a day or two so I should have a few cool things on hand.

Any special requests?
 
let some more fish die and let him learn that the guy that gave him his info was not giving good advice.. he will be back when he finds out that you knew what you was talking about and he didnt need a refund.. he should ask himself if you did that and came to his store would he rufund you for someone elses bad advice.. he should have asked your opinion on the feeding thing before trying it on a fish from your store.

Unbelievable.

Well, that other place should give him the refund or replacement since they gave him the advice that the yellow tang can eat his live rocks. Whoever gave him that moronic advice needs to be hanged. Yellow tangs are so easy to feed too. Just a leaf of Romaine lettuce weighted down, and it would've been a nice fish. Turd for brains~!!! :swear: DAMN that pisses me!!!

actually romaine lettuce is not a good choice of food

marine herbivores such as tangs and surgeons(spelling) need marine algae to substain good overall health

if you feed them a staple of terestrial plant the fish will eventually waste away

terestrial plants just dont meet the special dietary requirments of tangs
