Really nice job on the lid. Are you going to keep the wood it's natural color or are you going to stain it?

I would like to stain some of the trim but as a whole the build will stay natural. I have varnish for it but I may use a shellac instead. I haven't decided how shiny I want the finish to be.

Not to much new in the last few days. Sealed and painted the Canopy doors. Painted the insides of the cabinet doors and filled all the nail holes in the molding with some woodfiller. Nothing really to new to show.

Awesome awesome design! I love the look and the craftmanship is excellent. How is your top brace/inner ring attached? I couldn't quite make it out.

The top brace is cut from a single sheet of 3/4" ply that's been PL'd and screwed into place. Then there are 3 layers of resin and matting laminating it.
