with the sump, Bass, I had enough matting left to do 2 layers on the bottom and ends, and I put 1 layer on the sides and dividers.

It looks as strong as an Ox. I was going to build a sump with wood and fiberglass, but I don't want to do anymore fiberglassing in the apartment :screwy:

You must be getting close to putting the glass in and filling with water now, any updates on this??

um I still want to put one more coat of epoxy on the back wall of the aquarium and in the holes for the bulkheads and I would like to have the varnish done before I intall the glass so water is still a little way away.

I have to say you're doing a remarkable job of staying patient and doing things the right way the first time, rather than letting us (or yourself) rush you into doing it too fast and messing something up.

This is an awesome tank, I'm sure its going to look stunning once its in place and filled and stocked. I wish I could come and see it in person once its done :).

I painted the epoxy on the back wall of the tank this morning and in the bulkhead holes. I was pleasantly surprised that I had enough epoxy left to also completely paint the backside of that rear panel and put a coat on most of the rest of the tank as well.

Also I mixed up a little gelcoat and got the inside of the sump finished. Just did one heavy coat and then went back and touched up a couple spots after. I'm excited for it all to dry now so I can reassemble the tank and start plumbing.

Just curious, what are all the little pipes running along the bottom for? Is that going to be your return lines, running under the gravel, similar to a rUGF?
