So I did research (imagine that people who say I just pick random fish, no but I really research all the fish, not all are extensive is all). And I was looking for fish that are most if the time personable get in the 12" range and have around a 50ish percent chance of killing the danios (WHICH ARE DITHER). It would be the only cichlid in the tank along with the cats and danios so here are some ones I researched and what I got from them, plus a few other options that MAY not work out. Do you guys think my info is accurate:
options:
green terror: 10-12" ; if raised with danios may not kill but no certainty. Will almost never kill my nocturnal cats since they aren't viewed as a threat.
green texas: 10-12" ; same as GT but with slightly higher chance of danio deaths. Cats dying is still unlikely but never the less, possible.
red devil, Midas, or midevil (all similar behavior and care): 12-14" ; extremely high chance of danios dying but may work if the danios were removed. Cats have a 50/50 IMR but if they stay hidden well enough may not be bothered. Pleco is pretty resilient and raph comes out for nothing anymore.
female jag: 12-15" ; danios, very high chance if death, almost certainly need removed. Cats should be fine.
ABSOLUTE NO'S (I don't care how pretty they look at the store!): doviis, male jags, umbees, large pikes.
this is the last time I will bug you guys or make any more of these threads, I promise, kick me off the forum if I break my promise! I have plenty of setups from discussing with you guys that can work and many that may work, and no some that won't work. Just need to know the info above is accurate and then I'm done other than to thank people, then I'll talk to a mod and get some old threads of these deleted!
