I have. No, they aren't what I would call personable. Along the same lines as convicts. They never seem to have that sense of recognition like sevs, amphs, terrors, etc. Nothing in your latest stock adjustment would be what I would consider personable.
The Nic is likely to be your "rogue". They they can be quite nasty when larger, especially if you end up with a 10" male. But then the firemouth and con could end up being nasty as well. All three are cichlids that tend to be fine with tankmates without a mate present, but they are still cichlids and individual personality will play a part.
Personally, I would shoot for an all female tank. Female cons have red bellies as opposed to just a plain black and white male, and they hit about 4-5". A female Nic will be more colorful than a male and grow smaller as well (about 6"), which will help reduce the possibility of potential arguments. A female firemouth would be the only place you would lose a bit of color, but even then, it wouldn't be much. Female firemouths are only a little duller than males and grow to 5-6".
