why did u make apond when you could of used the pool? i mean seriously
because he had plenty of land and wanted a pool is my guess. PA summers suck w/o having a pool to go into

Hows the barley working?

I have to take pics. this week. Just dumped 10" of snow on Friday, so I need a couple more days to melt away some snow.

Never used UV, no bottom drain, and never had green water. Don't fight mother nature, work w/it and you will find a balance

all the zillions of flat rocks that are seen in the photos, thats what the ground is like where you live?
Thats what you have to dig in?

yeah, those flat sharp rocks were in back and front of the pond. i had to stop digging or i would have dug up my house. that's why i used a convayer belt for liner protection. that runs from front to back(4 strips)

time to bring up the level of the ground

why the pvc? looks like you're going uphill so water wouldn't really go anywhere.

what pump you using to get the water to the top?

def lesson to plan, plan, plan then do.

in the 8th picture down, with my car facing pond, is where the water was draining and how the driveway was built... it slopes away from house towards car (my car is in this valley) where it meets the flow coming from mtn. then goes, left, down the driveway...

and in 1st picture you can see that the ground slopes from right to left of pond...

pictures are so deceiving...
