A word about seachem

With purigen use only Prime..read directions on purigen... certain water conditioners with slime coat replacement can become diastrous with Purigen when regenerating......don't know what the effect would have in the tank?


" Caution: some slime coat products may permanently foul Purigen® and render regeneration difficult. Do not reuse if odor of chlorine is detectable. In case of doubt"

it says dont use any conditioners the have amine base in them it will make the purigen unable to be regenerated . one they say is stress coat from api but novaqua and amquel both r safe they say but i like to use only one company brand so i dont have to search all over the place for stuff.im gonna go with all seachem i think

you won't go wrong using Prime, no worries

I've been using a 100mL bag of Purigen on a 15G planted tank w/ small pieces of malaysian driftwood . . . been a few weeks now . . . water is crystal clear, no tannins, no problems
