Aba aba community. . . .

I have never heard anything good about keeping an aba aba with anything long term. What an AWESOME fish though. Can't wait to see pics!

Wheres the pics Egon?

I wouldn't say it's impossible as there have been success with keeping multiple Black Ghost Knives in a tank with success even though it's been said to be better off alone. Heck, even a lot of things I've read on CKs said that they should be kept alone or be the only Knife in the tank, yet a lot of members have proven that wrong. I'm going to say it's a possibility, but if it doesn't work out, it's going to be an expensive lesson to learn.:(

You got that from BigSaveDiscounts! You beat me to it!!! Hahaha! Nicely done! It was definitely a looker! Please please please keep the pictures and updates coming!!!

Update!!!! I've found some but I can't get them till almost two weeks from now. RRRG!

Hopefully I can keep this monster alive! I paid $160 for the fish and $100 shipping, a little pricy but I'm happy.

I have it in a 180, temps around 80. One ocean clear closed loop canister filter and a sump wet/dry filter system. I'm set up for power feeding :naughty:

So would it be better to grow them up in a smaller tank, say a 29gal or so, till they get larger? Lots of decorations, low light, and plenty of filtration.

I was hoping to get some in the 4 to 6" range, although they seem ridiculously hard to find. I screwed up and missed my chance to get a 10" one, still bummed about that. :(

I started mine in a 75 gallon tank in July. He was 7". A 29 might not work for very long but would likely be great if you get a tiny one to start with.

TFD usually has them in the spring. They usually put them on Aquabid. Mine was purchased from them by my LFS. I contacted TFD first and they gave my LFS a good price so I got a good deal on him.

Here is mine 14" and growing fast.
