Manzaman is a vendor here, has some very nice pieces. Also greenleafaquariums.com has some nice pieces. Those are the best 2 I found online. Ada driftwood looks amazing but u usually have to trust someone else to pick it out for you

You wont find the good wood on a boat. I always find it while in the water. I lucked out one day and had a 4' hollowed out half log float up to the boat while fishing. It felt pretty light when I grabbed it till the big air bubble that was holding it afloat came out and it nearly pulled me over the side. Creeks and bogs seem to be the best places I have found wood along with right behind the eddys in the river(I live rt by the west fork of the Trinity River). It is also best to find it in the dry season when water levels drop.

Ive gotten my wood from orderin online, buyin from lfs, and searchin in the woods and in the river. I use the same procces to make sure theyre all clean before any go into my tanks

Know that feeling. Most of the trees here are pines and its not often (if ever) that I find good pieces of driftwood. While visiting up north though I found a bunch of awesome pieces of beach wood.
