They looked like they lived a life of starvation... probably just the stress alone in this kind of shape would be their demise. sad that some one would do this..

From what I know, tinfoil is the first one in the tank check out if there is something wrong with the water. For them to live 6 years, the water wouldn't be that bad. I just can't believe on their size, though

What? The water was never changed, had 2 tinfoils in a 55 gallon and your telling us it can't be that bad?:screwy:

Some people should just not be allowed to have fish or any pets! We went through hurricane Gustav a couple weeks ago. A buddy I work with has some friends who had some type of cichlids. They evacuated and threw all the fish in the trash, ALIVE!!! Their reasoning, he said, was the fish were going to die anyway with no electricity.

Wow, What an idiot. A battery operated bubble filter for $10 could have saved the fish from that terrible fate. You are right some people are too stupid/uncaring to have pets of any kind.

That's just retarded.:screwy: I've heard of plenty of people flushing fish because they want to break down a tank. Why they don't try to give them away is beyond me.

there eyes are like a ships portholes, they seem far too big in comparsion

Wow! That's one bad case of stunting!

My FIL's new wife has a silver dollar that is at least 4 years old and is only 2 1/2 inches around (maybe three, but it's really small for a silver dollar that old.) That fish also has really big eyes for it's size. It lives in a 20 gallon. It is the only "constant" in that tank; all her other fish die a couple months after she buys them.
