AC110 Super Loud Annoying Noise

i cant even return it from where i ordered it from because i had to return it by 1/31/11 and i have no back up filters or money so idk what im gonna do
OK, this has my curiosity up now. I can't stand it when something isn't working like it should! Let's see what it would cost to mail your filter to Omaha and mine to New Jersey. I will trade you one that's about a year old but in perfect condition. (I take good care of my stuff

i was thinkin maybe replacing the motor,impeller,and shaft will fix the problem but im goin to try and bring it to my local fs which is in my town luckily for me lol and have them look at it and see what they think it is but im going to see what they say if not fixed i would be down for a trade if thats what u really wanna do lol u dont have to bro
I don't think its the sand as I have 2 ACs in tanks with sand and they're perfectly fine. I did have a super loud grinding noise before and replaced the impeller because the other one's magnet wasn't strong enough to hold it down for some reason and it was grinding against the plastic. Maybe try that first? Does it make the grinding noise when you take out the impeller and run the motor?
idk if it makes the noise without the impeller in i didnt try it but if it is the sand im gonna replace it with gravel -___- the sand is so nice i hate to get rid of it but if i gotta do it i gotta do it lol
I know, but I am concerned why we can't make a new filter work! We need to get a filter going on your tank though before your water goes to hell. While you're at the LFS, you might want to check and see if they have a used filter they would sell you cheap.
