So im doing something similar with a 75g so farI have
3 x african brown knives (6")
1x Leopard ctenopoma (3")
2 x Delhezi bichirs (8-9")
everything gets along great I plan to add
maybe 10-12 congo tetras
and a congo spiny eel if I can track one down
I would really like to have a group of spotted congo puffers but they are out of my price range it would cost me close to 300$ to get them here in canada

The brown knife fish are a great alternative to afer knife fish mine followmy hand around nipping at it during water changes. They are the most personable fish in the tank.
Here is them in quarantine when I first got them

Schoutedeni can be tough to ID. I had a few syno sold as schoutedeni but after growing started to appear more like waterloti or perhaps a hybrid.
Synodontis schoutedeni?
Anyone with experience keeping them? Looking for information on activity levels, preferred temperature, aggression. Im no expert on syno cats and im reading a lot of different, conflicting info on these cats. I sure like the look of them though. Looking for a good bottom feeder to replace my...

So I got the tank setup and plumbed the bulkheads for a future sump. In the meantime I’ve got 2 aqua clear 70s with a sponge filter going. Also spiked the tank with a piece of shrimp but now I have a small rope fish to start off and make sure everything’s good to go before I start adding some other fun fish/plants.
And I just wanted to show off this awesome Australian Lungfish a local fish shop had in when I went to grab a rope fish. Very awesome to see in person!

All I thought to ask was “is that really an AUL?” And I’ll I got in return was “we have the permits” lol
He looks like he’s got a fungus/infection taking over though
mind to let me know where this LFS is? Im guessing its not in NJ, but the decor and background looks so much like my lfs haha. Probably what most lfs look like though

I pretty much think the same thing everytime I see a tank photo, but no it’s in TN. Just a few 15 hours away haha
