You couldnt be more wrong. I am in no way the pitbull and piranha type who loves carnage and nasty pets. I rescued this frog from someone who bought it as an impulse buy and it has flourished in my care.

you are way off :)

you think you know but you know nada.:)

anyway, I didnt post the video to create all this drama from the frog police I just thought it was a cool vid of a cool "healthy" frog.

I have an idea maybe the frog nerds should park outside my home and shoot me in the head for my apparent abuse of this frog like the right to lifer extremist do to abortion Drs.

ps its not the liking of frogs or fish that makes you a frog nerd lol its your attitude about the subject.

Cool Thanks lol I knew you would love the video.
So what is your take on feeding Ceratophrines straight live?
Do you at least dull the prey?
Frogs that bite to where the prey can wrap around usually get hurt bad.

Dude, first off I dont feed the frog live. This was a 1 time thing for a video a co worker asked me to make him. He was fascinated with the idea of a frog that is capable of eating a rat, Second if the frog grabbed the rat in an area where it could than turn and bite the frog the rat would be killed by me within a second. I would crush its head in a snap. The frog is fed dead rats that are sometimes leftover from feeding my ball pythons. I go through almost 100 rats a week so ocassionally a snake will kill a rat and not eat it.

Like I said earlier you dont know me and jumped to conclusions.

That frog is healthy as can be. Look at his color, he is not obese etc.

when a frog grabs a live rat or mouse, unlike a snake being able to compress it to death, how long does it take the rat to die? When I see one sticking out of a frogs mouth,I feel like the rat could be biting the hell out of the inside of the frog.THis has always bugged me,Ive only kept this one tomato frog and love it,but hes not a rat eater.
