Which, if any, Africans have you kept with which Central American or South Americans successfully, with normal to NO aggression?

I know a rule of thumb is not to mix the two, but come on, not everyone listens to rules of thumb.:naughty:...:grinno:

I have my polleni along with D. kiwinge and F. rostratus...there's also a venustus and frontosa in there, but might not be there for too long since they have been getting picked on as of late.

I have Madagascans and Centrals together now, Paretroplus and Paratilapia with Paratheraps, Nandopsis and Parachromis.

There have been west africans in the past in the mix too, Tilapia bythobates and Stomatepia pindu, and a rift laker Fossorochromis rostratus.
Ones that haven't worked are frontosas, they are way too pacifistic for Centrals.

Thanks for the responses so far guys... Some things I wouldn't expect.
Keep 'em coming. This could be a very useful thread. :)

I have my Paretroplus menarambo pair with a couple of Geophagus altifrons, no real aggression issues. I'm to the point, with my two polleni, that they can't be kept with my CAs. Too many problems arise, so they are in their own tanks.

I have an acei cichlid in a tank full of large CA/SA's but he's pretty big him self, no problems what so ever, ph is kept at normal and little to no agression for years
