I have my Paretroplus menarambo pair with a couple of Geophagus altifrons, no real aggression issues. I'm to the point, with my two polleni, that they can't be kept with my CAs. Too many problems arise, so they are in their own tanks.

Thanks guys. Are both of your Paretroplus' full grown? Are the fish with them full grown?

I keep 8 frontosas with 4 geophagus steindachneri without any problems. Very peaceful tank and the eartheaters breed like crazy (1 male, 3 females)

My Paretroplus keineri are close tp full grown at @ 6", the centrals have a way to go.
Some years back I also kept menerambo with Geo altifrons, and it went well.

ive got some mbuna and peacocks with a firemouth no problems right now

Could anyone recommend an african that wouldn't be aggressive in my 40g breeder with my 2" green severum, and 5" bgk? Just for things to contemplate. ;)

kribs are a good bet for little to zero aggression issues, even when breeding they are not overly violent. the odd chase when a fish gets really close to the cave but they keep a relatively small territory when breeding.

I know some tilapia species do fine with American cichlids. I have a Kenyi cichlid with a blood parrot (well my sister was moved to her new home and take the parrot with her) with no issues....mainly because my kenyi was born with bulldog looking deformity.
