My little ABK might actually be the most outwardly aggressive fish I own, and I have a thing for mean fish. This guy puts just about everything but my Mala. wolf fish to shame.

He's currently in my 120 community which consists of a sen bichir, tiger dat, lima shovelnose cat, p bass, fire eel, a scomb, and the brown knife. The knife picks nightly battles with both the scomb and the p bass. I know he's the reason the p bass's tail is all tattered, and the bass has got about 1" and a lot of girth on the little knife.
I picked up a relatively rare catfish a week or so ago and threw him in the tank because he was about the same size as everyone else, and the knife had almost nipped off his entire tail within a couple hours. The catfish is now recovering in his own personal 40br.

So in my opinion, there is definitely an aggressive knife fish. If that's what you're looking for, go with the tiny, but mean as hell abk.

Are you sure you have a regular african brown and not a featherfin? I thought the browns get under 10 inch and can pretty much co-exist w/ anything

Nope, ABK are really aggressive. It's just they are nippy aggresive most of the time. They will harass and nip constantly but they won't kill (most of the time)

Ahh ok I see I was gonna say I don't see em being all too crazy, I have an aro knife and a Brown Ghost and the brown is very docile, skittish even. Very fast getting out of my dat, festae or GTs way lol. The aro knife hasn't made it to the main tank, still in my buddys QT but he is holding his own w/ bichirs pbass wolf fish etc
