All cichlid aggression varies between individuals of the same species, and is completely subjective and environment-dependent. Some people might have kept a JD that killed 20 other fish and someone else might find them to be one of the more mellow cichlids, with little to no issues in community tanks. Most of the aggressive behavior we observe in aquariums is rarely seen in nature anyway (except the predatory behavior but this is an entirely different subject)... Cichlids become aggressive only because of the limited space we provide (even in the largest tanks). In nature they're just another fish that take great care of their young and are not even close to the top of the food chain.
So my advice is, get a fish you like and can house comfortably, and enjoy it for what it is. Flowerhorn, Grammodes, Midas/RD, Salvini and Cuban cichlids will all fit your tank and are "aggressive"... But I would go with either a Flowerhorn or Midas if you want it to interact with you a lot.
