grammodes are the best choice imo, since they are not comon like gt's, midas, etc. and have the guapote look

Grammodes all the way. Beautiful colors, bad attitude!

YEAH go for the Grammodes they are super badass and they look even more badass! GTs arent glassbangers they will come up to the glass and beg for food but they wont wanna take your fingers off like a true glassbanger. GRAMMODES ALL THE WAY!

My GT is EXTREMELY skittish. I say get a small jag and have him grow out in the 75 then switch him to the 180 when you get it. They're glass bangers and they're beautiful fish

I really want to get a glass banging cichlid but I don't want a tank over 75g
so I was thinking of a single or breeding pair
so I would like some help choosing on a suitable fish, I was thinking
green terrors, JD or mini dovies
a flowerhorn

IMO grammodes look great, but few are glassbangers. I have owned many, and this latest one that I keep is the only glass banger I've had. Grammodes are shy and hide a lot. They tend to be more aggressive towards other fish than to their owners. My pick is the istlanum, and Rapps has some now. Problem is, it's gonna put a dent in that money you are saving up for that 180. I have never owned an istlanum that wasn't a very personable glass banger.

thanks for all the suggestions but the fish doesn't really need to be a glass banger I just don't want some nancy fish, I want a fish that will come out and not be hiding when I am near the tank yet still aggressive
also how long would it take for a Jag to out grow a 55

I would get a cyano or a carpintis. Trimacs are very nice too though. Or a nice barred midas :)
