I have a JD about 6-7 inches in a 55gallon by him self and hes the total oposite of a glass banger, he's so skittish for some reason, maybe its because i took out his tank mates.
mine too he always swims over to me calmly and he rubs against me when im doing stuff in the tank its totally funny

If your into hybrids get a low quality Flowerhorn to start. Hands down the two that I bought at first are the most personable and active fish I've ever owned. Not to mention they are down right nasty towards any tank mates.

I think I'm going to go with an oscar
as my lfs has some really nice tigers and they seem like they are always begging for food

Cool, just know they are not aggressive (not anywhere near it compared to the other fish anyones listed in this topic) and basically a poop machine with fins.

Also, they tend to get HITH fairly easy and Ive seen them come from pet stores with it. Id be sure to check over them really good for signs of it, especially if its a chain store.

they can be aggressive but i hope u got some good filters on the tank. they will kno who u are and will get excited when u go over to the tank. they are really funny fish for any to own.

Hatian gets to large for a 75 gallon and in my experience are difficult to care for. Look, here's the thing if you have a cichid by itself for a long period of time, most will bang the glass and attack you. When I had my Umbee with other fish he focused his grumpiness on them. Once he was solo for about a year or so that is when he became a "glass banger" Point is most cichlids will go after you if you have them by themselves for a while.
