Hmm...What if you only have like a fish that's 3 inches big?

everything depends on the fish you want. I suggest you go scope out some fish that you like and come back and tell us what they are. Under no circumstances should you buy a fish without already having everything set up. One thing you have to know is that before you can just go out and buy a fish you need to set up the tank and let it sit for a week or two. You can't just buy a fish, take him home and dump him in a tank. He will die if the tank isn't cycled.

You need to formulate an actual question. Decide what size tank you are able to keep and what kind of fish you would like to keep. Tell us what you already do and do not know about keeping fish.

Is there some kind of fish you had in mind or did you just want an aquarium in general?

Jeox : How many fish do you have?

and I just wanted an aquarium in general...

Uhm. 10 tanks. lol
and a soon to be shark tank. :D

What kind of fish do you like, what is the max size tank you are willing to set up and what kind of previous fishkeeping experience have you had?

You have to understand that some of us here keep very large tanks (someone on here actually has a 50,000g tank), and very large fish, so you have to be specific in what you have in mind. Otherwise we may just recommend fish that you aren't able to keep.
