Had to clear out the QT system that’s been occupied by these guys for a time - got 3 cichlid pairs in -
kept one pair with most dominant male in a 40g breeder to hopefully produce-
only 1 known casualty so far - of the OG 2 - half fish and busted face - RIP busted face convict - 1/2 fish seems to be running the tank so far ?
i added 5 ceramic caves under the driftwood and baby grass for any fry -
got a mp40 on the end to clean out the driftwood
most activity this tanks ever seen ?

Your setup makes me miss mine. I ended up selling my 535g tank so am really out of the hobby. I am planning to redo that entire room and then maybe I can do another tank. I just wish I could get another aimara but I know my next tank will be much smaller and could not keep an aimara.
that’s hard, i’ve had to sell off a few times due to moves and such….
i know you’re no where close, but you’re welcome to pick this guy up here… he’s got personality for sure… there are tons for sale too -

going to label this a partial win -
only 2 losses as far as i can tell, convicts are the roaches of the fish world?
breeding groups are setting up,
1/2 fish the convict is a tank boss, there are two larger males as well -
aimara asking for food again, still not taking pellets as it used to before i gave him prawns which he won’t eat either now ?

one pair of cons claimed 1/2 of the 72”x30”x30” tank
seen the cons mio at the aimara’s tail and attack the sailfin pleco -
this morning mum / pop squared off over their nest ?
