I'd try it with mine but he/she's just a little A-hole. Hides unless fed, and even then after eating -right back to the ol log. Don't think he enjoys being low man on the totem pole at all......

Thanks. I don't really know how old he is. I got him in 2010 and he was around 10 inches. The first couple of years he doubled in size, but since then his growth has slowed. He no longer eats as often as he did during the first couple of years.

Off of when it was in the 600, it looked vz to me. But it has red hues. Don't think it's as red as tapajos though so don't think it's that. I know it isn't amapa, the last big one he had was however.
My guess would be vz, possibly suriname
