Chalk it up to a learning experiance: Don't let her near the tank. In terms of helping you with your mom, listen to her, she's you mom. Buddy, I know you have plans to own some monsters, but you have to wait. You got a lot of life ahead of you still to keep the fish you want. Start by taking care of the fish you have. Good luck.

Yikes! Poor fish. Well thats one fish less and now it would be easy on you as you have only one channel catfish left which its no problem....if he survived from your sister lol.

Yeah i been there, my mom always hates natives, she thought they werent so attractive compared to the tropical fishes. She once flushed all tadpoles and natives down when i was 9 years old and i was so upset! Now I have my own tanks, instead of family tank. Trust me, I better listen to the mother, you have no chance against the mothers.

when i had my lmb my mom kept on saying that all natives stink really bad and you can have anymore(it stunk cuz of the dead minnows in the tank but the channels like to eat them so i left them in the tank) and she made my dad drive it down to biglake and TURNED IT LOOSE!!!and i couldnt figure out where my lmb was in my tank so i cleaned it out and gotmy mom to know that not all nayives smell bad...just minnows do

You left dead minnows with your natives?? You should take them out so its wont foul the air which it already did. And dont blame on minnows for being stink, blame on you for not pick up the dead ones. I guess that was a price you pay for that one.

rebels point is that you don't leave dead fish in your tank no matter what. They will kill your water quality (and stink up the house). Good luck in the future.

My albino channel grew at a ridiculous rate. I wouldn't plan on them in the 29 for more than 3 months. Get something bigger in the meantime
