I'm batman! hehe

I like them. Very interesting looking. Congratz on the spawn.

i dont know too much about rays so when i saw the thread and it said batman i was a little curious........ and i must sayy verry very awesome

Absolute proof that it is genetics and not some unexplained phenom. Very cool. (just from an informational standpoint) not exceptionally intrigued by genetic deformities myself. Still pretty cool though.

I want one. :)

That is utterly wild.
And congratulations!

WOW, way cool man.
congrats :)

i would love to know some more info like how old are parents and if possible any pic of the male, tank size, feed etc

Yes, they were born like dat!!....i dun believe with my own eye too at 1st glance....

The goldfish is their parent feeder....too rush on getting them into the bucket....so, the goldfish follow into the bucket too.....

Now they are reside into another tank.....

Y shame tikarmann??
i actually meant. did the breeder intentionally breed the rays to get batman rays? or were u expecting regular ones and out came batman.

Wow thats amazing.
If neither of the parents have the batman phenotype its pretty impressive that every single pup have the batman phenotype. This means that it must be a recessive gene which both parents have and in every pup the egg and sperm both had the recessive gene from each parent.. thats quite the crazy odds.. unless rather than being a specific gene, it may be an error or change in the genes instead. Interesting indeed. You may want to contact someone that does a lot of work with animal genetics (possibly a local university with a biology program that may be doing genetics research) and let them know of your little batman babies! Although it may not directly benefit you it could show the students something that is not very widely explored.

What if batman is not genetic, but environmental? I know very little about stingray breeding, but could it have been certain conditions that resulted in the deformity?
