My friend ever caught a 3 kg gar and red tail cat at reservoir before and the latest I heard motoro rays pup caught also.
When he reel in and saw the gar he just cut off the line rather then act smart to bring it up and kana cros bites

Best bet for the AVA would be to require that all gars be microchipped and all transfers of ownership be recorded in a similar fashion to how high dollar Asian arowanas are handled. This way they could easily figure out who was the stupid one for releasing their gar illegally and fine them while allowing others to keep their gars and have an extra level of security thanks to the microchips.

Facepalming ur support of bogus laws. All dogs can hurt u. Banning certain species is assinine. Gar dont attack people. Period. So reasoning that a banning of fish that might attack someone, when there is no confirmed attacks that im aware of, is smart or reasonable deserves a facepalm. I hope the repsonsible people can still keep their gar or at least grandfathered in so they can at least keep the ones they have. I have always thought gar was cool and only have mangaged to catch 2 my whole life while fishing.

I'm sure they're not going to do anything about those already in Singapore.
They'll just ban future imports and sales(LOL at all those who bought gators and can't home them).
