No chance? I hate to kill em if he has a chance.....but i dont want him to suffer anymore.
I personally have a large Cichlid on its side and waiting for it to take its last breath. Sometimes the fish keeping hobby can be unforgiving but I let go because its nothing more I can do.
I suggest a complete system redo. Keep something harder like polypterus or the likes
