All you rtc experts, HELP.....

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Ive seen your videos and threads all over the place, unfortunately I do not have the room for such a round tank. Or pool I should say.

And you have and rtc??

If you would have read the previous posts you'd see. And key words SUCH A ROUND POOL OR TANK I HAVE PLENTY OF DRAWINGS AND MOCK UP BLUEPRINTS OF ALL KINDS OF PLYWOOD AND STEEL TANKS. MY TANKS WOULD BE 10-12' long, 4-6' wide and 3-4' tall.

12 long 6 wide and 4 tall is nowhere near big enough for 3 adult RTC's anyhow .... you urgently need a solution get a Rubbermaid 300 ...fast !

im unfortunately going to have to get rid of him and it kills me... i will not be releasing him into a pond, or unfortunately may have to take him to a lfs to get trade in to set us an easy, calm, soothing cichlid tank. he is actually a solid 18" and has a fire red tail and top fin, dark black, and bright white, no gil curl no issues what so ever. If anyone has any interest, i am in dunedin florida and PM me for further conversation on a family loved fish. I will not be giving him away for nothing but i will not be asking an arm and leg. Im looking for 125 OBO... OR BEST OFFER. I love this fish and dont even think i want to believe im doin this. I can text pics for very serious people. do not waste my time.

It sounds like getting rid of him is the right decision. Your goal should be to find him a suitable home. If you really "love this fish" I don't think you would have written, "If you're interested make me an offer I can't refuse and we can go from there, but if our numbers don't match up, then I'm set on keeping him. Money talks, ya know?"

Numbers should not matter. You can buy these guys for $20 these days as babies and within a short time they will be as large or larger than yours. If you really cared about the fish, you would be more interested in finding someone who can care for him as opposed to trying to get top dollar for him.

I apologize for being crass, but you made the mistake of buying a fish you can't care for, so if you have to donate him in order to get him to a suitable home, you should take the hit and just give him away. Give him to TBTH if he has an appropriate setup. Wouldn't you feel better knowing he went to someone who is going to properly care for him as opposed to some chump with a 100G that happens to pony up $125?

Make the responsible decision.
