I would mesure them on a piece of glass, tile so less of their slime coat gets damged on the fabric, love the gars!

Too bad the price is so much out where you are. Where I am I usually see small gators for $30-$40. One store had some 4-5"ers two months ago for $16. Was tempted to get a couple more.

Are you planning on putting these guys with your stingrays eventually?


Not sure gonna see their aggression. In my 230 they be with some tiger fish.

Yes, gar is unpredictable. It DOESNT even try to attack my 3" hujeta gar(probably they look alike), 5" silver aro, 3" red tail, 4" bichir, 2" black ghost, 3" sabretooth tetra, EVEN MY 2" danio -________- it keeps going for the goliath. GATF is 5 inch and the gar is only 6"

You don't want precious fish like vitattus and goliath get killed by $16-$40 gar. No offense, i LOVE gars. But they're just mean
