hey cheon i hope u can reply me as soon u can i now got a silver aro and he so jump so i plan to sell he and get a new fish my chooice is jardini and alligator gar which u prefer ?? i need soem things that wont scared at me DON skittish and aggressive and important is he be tame by me easily !!
 
All aros are skittish when first introduced into a tank. Same with alligator Gar i think the alligator Gar are more skittish then aros. Give ur silver some time to settle I'n. Jar"s are very aggressive. What size of tank do u have?

Get a jar it's good for ur 125gl for a year the gator will for sure out grow it I'n less then 6 months. Personality on a jar are wicked!!! Their like a dog i enjoy arowanas!

does anyone keep alligator gars in native tanks i didnt find much in the native section i want a gar in my native once im move just worried about aggression with bass and catfish and getting one i catch them alot but usually they are over 3 foot hopefully i find a lfs that sells them beautiful gar btw they are growing like weeds!
 
Thought I'd update. They are Foot long and in 1 of my 180gl now eating very very aggressive. Diet is mixed lake smelt and shrimp.
