I have a fence like that from Lowes made of welded steel tubes. I can bend those things up bare handed and I am not superman.

This "bendy" fence phenomenon must be a US thing. We have fences such as these all over the place in the UK, especially parks and cemeteries and such. There is absolutely zero chance of opening up the vertical rungs and slipping through.
The vertical tubes in that video could almost be made of PVC tubing, they look that bendy. The type we use for plumbing our aquariums, lol.

Those old fences in England and here have solid iron bars. These modern fences are hollow. They weigh 1/5 as much and are made to meet the modest requirements for child fencing around swimming pools.
They will contain a 30lb child easily. My 60 lb dog is no issue.
Not so with a 200 lb gator.

I'm in Cape Canaveral, FL and this is my newest neighbor...comes about 5' away from where my yard touches the pond. There are several types of gar, Mayans, tilapia, bluegill, catfish, turtles, etc. with some schools of other fish I'm not familiar with.
All of a sudden I have this overwhelming desire to complain about rats that we have in our sewers in Blighty.
But on reflection, and to avoid a barrage of laughter and heckles that would come my way if I did, I think I'll keep quiet about our cute little rats, lol.
Everybody says that alligator is good eating, but I’m wondering if sewer gators taste as good as free-range gator?

I've eaten gator though I can't be certain if it was wild,free range sewer or farmed gator,the supermarket carries it from time to time.
