Am i a bad MFK?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yes

I understand were you are coming from. I personaly have never seen a arapima in person :(. But I would buy it and uprade the tanks as needed, he is not a bad fish keeper just do your fish a big favor and upgrade it when needed and you will be fine this fish does get huge so get ready to spend some $$$$$.

i would get at least a 300 gallon for a AGTF but if you could go for more of a 500 maybe 600 that would be much better just do some research on the fish you want and they make your choice...dont do what i did i got a pacu and i have to start looking for a new home for him because he's getting to big for my tank and it really suck havin to get rid of a fish you like :/ so yea research and prepare

PBass of any variety in a 55G? = You've been a bad boy.

Planning to trade PBass in for a GATF and/or Arapaima? = You are planning on being a worse boy.

Santa is going to skip your house if you keep this up.
lol

i am really considering the AGTF though

i have the 55 gallon untell i move in 5 months, when i am getting a 240 then move up from there as needed

Moving up "as needed" is not always that easy. I purchased our "big" tank 3 years ago, and we still have not set it up. We have had to do an addition to our house to accommodate our "big" tank. Our 2,000 gallon system (tank plus sump) is large enough to house our two little old pacu, but is way too small for arapaimas, etc.

Until you have at least a 5,000 gallon tank, don't even consider getting an arapaima. Big tank upgrades can be extremely difficult to accomplish.
