That baby is sooooo cute...fun to watch a jag grow into a monster ..Fish on Fire;1887316; said:Lol, right now, it's just a temporary pool. My dad wanted me to have a temp thing set up first before I decide to make something more permanent. I'll have the permanent pond made before the summer is over though.Lol, here is the temp setup, nothing special:

I swear, it's almost impossible to find a male red terror in the Central Valley.
Yeah, haha, speaking of monster jags, how is your rescue jag doing?Red Devil;1889417; said:That baby is sooooo cute...fun to watch a jag grow into a monster ..
If I could get them, how would some trimac sound?killerfish;1889592; said:throw in a few midas cichlids to help spred out aggression and i'd say your good add some large barbs mabye but with the right Decor your probably fine any way in a large pond like that

Lol, another thing about lfs, some of the workers tend to take the best fish home right out of the bag. >.< That's why I wanna work at an lfs, lol, just to get first dibs. I hope I can find a local breeder, but yeah, the Central Valley is very limited compared to Nor Cal and So Cal. And yeah it is that hard, lol, I have been looking for one ever since I got her. I actually picked her up because she was the only one who had a shot at being a male, but it turned out that she was a female, lol.catfishlover106;1890229; said:lol wow its that hard...theirs a store near by my house and has alot of Wild Caught True Red Terrors and some are males...i got me one saved it was the dominant one in the Tank with the other males and females

I agree with extra cichlids thrown in the mix to dispearse the aggression.killerfish;1889592; said:throw in a few midas cichlids to help spred out aggression and i'd say your good add some large barbs mabye but with the right Decor your probably fine any way in a large pond like that
