I wasn't responding to you. I was responding the the thread as a whole.

Really, I started the thread to see if I really was the only one. It seems like it lol.

I guess while we're on it one of my favorites is "It's different when it's your own". I quote that all the time when I see the horrible parents on the evening news. Maybe if they weren't expected to have kids they wouldn't have felt obligated to do so in the first place.

thats the catch phrase for all things undesirable. pretty much anything about babies, farts, dog crap, litter boxes, vomit on your shirt, saliva on your food...

you can't find a doctor to give you a vasectomy? you've been looking? how many doctors have you been to?

I've heard of doctors refusing vasectomy on 18 year olds. I've also heard of doctors performing vasectomy on 18 year olds. your profile says you're 26, I cant believe you can't find a doc that will perform the procedure.

I'm in podunk conservative Indiana. I'll have to look a bit farther out of my medical network, but I'm sure you're right, that I can find someone that will do it. For the time being a I can be responsible in other ways.
But is that the only way to prove that you're serious? Pay to have the surgery?(insurance wont cover it--I've looked into it).

Thanks Liz. I wish everyone saw it that way and didn't second guess someone else just because they may have second guessed themselves.

What bothers me more is financially unstable (or more commonly financially irresponsible) people who have kids anyway, then expect me to feel sorry for them. I feel sorry for the kid, not them. That's a whole different topic though, I'll quit on that one. LOL.

Two of my sons do not want children... both wives do not want children.. i could care less..all i want for my sons... as a parent.. is to have a good life with the women they chose.. and to love and respect each other.. what ever makes them happy makes me happy..

its easy enough to avoid having kids. I'm 32, and have been having conceptionless sex since I was 18. without getting into too much detail, a man has to do something pretty deliberate to get a woman pregnant. he has to be trying to get her pregnant.
