I understand all the excitement about the little guy now...lol. I totally want one too! Anything that pokes its head out of the water to take food out of my hand and let me pet it is awesome! Scott - Start training that eel! I wanna pet it! lol

Totally helpful to the OP, sorry...good luck on your hunt though. Most of what I hear about native fish comes from Scott but I'll keep my eyes open for you.

Bump. I'd love an eel as well and can make the drive to the coast if someone can hook me up with a baitshop that sells them.

Pretty much any bait shop around the chesapeake bay will have them. They're used a lot in the lower potomac/bay area. I'll look next time I'm in the area.
