Lyonsi are nice looking amphs! But if your looking for that well known amph attitude your better trying one of the others. Like a Midas or Amarillo, xilo , or even a midevil.Only reason I say that is because I'm planning on doing Lyonsi and I've heard it both ways. They're more docile than other members of their genus but they're still worthy of the amphilophus name.
Anyways, great looking fish.
Usually I just shoot with a high ISO and no flash. However, I used a flash for these recent pics in order to capture his deep orange. My lens of choice is the Nikon 35mm f/1.8G DX. I use it for 99% of all my photography (fish and everything else).Great pics of a great looking Amph. whats your camera settings?
