Nicaraguensis females or even males from my understanding will never display vertical bars which is definitely a convict trait. And if you look at the head shape of the fish, you can clearly see convict within the fish. From what I see, nicaraguensis has a rounded head shape. Pics of the parents if possible would be great though.

Actually around that size is common for both male and female to show verticle barring.. THOUGH... Not like the barring shown.. From what i have seen...

Great colors, wish it retained the convict shape though.
 
i like the colours, nicest mutt i have ever seen.
 
It is about 3". I picked it up from a local fish store. I spotted it from far way and immediately knew it was a cross between nic and con and confirmed it with the store owner.

I am not a fan of hybrid but I really want to share some photos here.
