Anaerobic Bacteria

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It could be simply differences in water chem. For instance, pH makes a big difference when it comes to redox reactions and the ability of chemotrophs to catalize reactions.

Im prety sure mine is in the neutral range. But will test

I wonder

Same as mine.

You know i harp on things lol dont like not "knowing"

I really want to figure what the dufferences are. Could be helpful to other members

There are so many variables between systems, even if you were to set another tank with this same system you may notice a difference between the two.
But I agree with Grinch its more then likely something different in the water chemistry.
I mean you guys know how many variables there can be.
The feeding alone between tanks can be so different. Temps, Ph, Hardness, O2 levels, Co2 Levels, Bioload, other filters running, water changes, even the lighting schedule can effect water chemistry.
You can test Ph in the morning and it will different that same evening. Slightly but different.

I think it's the pump. The one I have is a cheap pump. The Jabeo pump is rated at 40gph but I have a feeling it's not putting much out. It takes a lot to keep it primed and I'm sure to pump out.

Just some thoughts.

Yes definitely the Gph though this type of thing is key. It's been covered already I know but the O2 levels alone could have taken long to come down to the appropriate levels.

Well, looks like I have another 13 page thread to read... :D
I set mine to show 30 per page for a reason. Threads lime these

All the aquaculture filtration methods look very interesting

Very true. I usually reach for explanations where they dont clearly exist

Maybe something to this.

Have you ever tested gph ? Could be that your flowing much less than 30gph. I just tested mine and its was 29.5

Very interesting topic man. Soo much to learn
