Yesterday, the fish that brought in the anchor worm, lost it's worm. I have read that the worm will fall off after laying eggs. The other fish that has a worm also, the redness is going away. I will keep you updated. How are your fish doing?

Have not seen any more worms, have not noticed the fish rubbing, however I have been pretty busy, we are in the process of moving.

Well I have seen no worms, however my fish seem to rub the bottom and shake their heads which I have read is a sign of an internal parasite.......

The Creek chub seems to be doing it more than the Sunfish... :(

I have tried using parasite clear now with three doses and now all of my fish have some small anchor worms on their fins. I have a catfish as well and I really need to do something now as these things are spreading. Where can I buy dimilin online? I need to dose that stuff directly I think to get rid of these things.

I used Parasite clear and it only took one application.

I removed the worms before giving the dose though, so I dont know if that made a difference.

I had to do this twice though as another fish I introduced had a worm show up. (after removal and dose no worms)

I mixed regular table salt in a cup with warm water, just enough to wet the salt, got a q-tip, got fish out, rubbed worm with salt mix a couple times, got tweezers and slowly as possible removed worm from fish fin.

I do not believe you can do this with Catfish though....

After this I have not had any worms....
