And it has Begun(muahahahaha)

you could get a nice piece of crown moulding for the top instead of plywood too. it would add character to the tank. its a bit more than plywood, but would look nicer stained. plus, since you are sheathing with plywood inside, you have more freedom with what you put on the top front like that

Ya i plan on doing nice trim on the outside. I have a 3 day weekend cause next weekend is a Drill weekend for the reservists so i wont have a day off then so i plan on getting Alot done.

small progression. 2" between the center slats and 3.5" top and bottom.

cool. if you would like a glue that holds stronger than wood glue, get some liquid nails. that is the stuff they use to glue joists to the plywood on floors so the joist doesn't "swim" under the plywood just in case any nails pop. good stuff. you just cant use it in any part that contacts the water since i'm sure it is toxic. but for the base its great

I used LN for some years on speaker boxes and the wood glue appeared to me to be better with that material so I didn't think to use it on this project

Also im using Gorilla glue now cause its waterproof and expanding so it will fill in any spots

and here is why the project is now in "slow" mode again

well worth it

i wish the yacht they were showing had a 65' "dingy" that could be driven up inside the aft end of the yacht lol

yeah gorilla glue is good too. i just don't like wood glue b/c its not a good stand alone adhesive. its not really good for anything that doesnt already have screws or nails or some other fastener holding it in place/ together
