And it has Begun(muahahahaha)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Lol thanks for the info, I am wanting a few portions of plants(fake) so i do need a substrate but if i can find some nice driftwood then i will attach to that. i just dont like the look of bare bottom tanks. But on a good note my trip was a success. thanks to local authorities doing their job my gun was returned to me today and two people are spending their night in jail :D this makes me very happy and just to think,it was pawned for a measly 60 bucks now they have a good ole felony on the record

its probably fine, but i would recommend clamping the hose on just to be safe. i had a couple of these pop the hose off

how did you like the TypeR and how much power were you throwing at it?

Are those AQ amps as good as everyone hyped them up to be?

have you benched the AQ amp? if so, what realistic numbers were you seeing at what ohm load?

Is that the XX-Hercules? I loved my Hercules and regret giving up that amp!!!!

Great stuff!

the type R is an entry level subwoofer but for 99bucks on IKEsound.com you can't beat the price. Yes the AQ amps are what they are hyped up to be and I love mine. That was the 5,000 Watt RMS hifonics goliath and was pushing a wall of 18"s in a pickup truck as a daily driver. I would recomend the Incriminator audio 187 on the type R they are 10 bucks cheaper, handle less power, and are a good bit louder and clearier. I love my AQ amp but personally If you are willing to spend the money, i would look into Cactus audio they are about 3-4times the price of an AQ amp but by far better. If you are looking for cheap equiptment let me know I have a friend in prolly every city that owns a shop lol, ive been into car audio pretty heavy for nearly 10years

i agree with the1andonly thows lowes pumps suck i had three sets of them go out on 4 of ponds in less then a year i was running them in my ponds just for venturies and they went out lost two koi that were wurth over 2k thats when i learnd that its better just get the best stuff that way you dont have to worry about it

If you haven't gotten the pump yet I reccomend looking around on this: http://www.azponds.com website, tons of different submersible & external pumps. I'm buying a lot of supplies from here for my pond build. :D

BTW I can't wait to see your tank stocked, I love arowanas but don't have the space.

:iagree:My pump from lowes lasted 3 1/2 months  before quitting. My HY-drive pump from the local pond store has been going for 3 years, plus 3 years out in the weather, and it's in use again and still going strong!

no updated pics yet, I just got home from my trip and had to start work again after a month of leave, so im in the transition at work to a new Command and new people But i did the measurements and the lateral support will be 2" apart so darn near gunna be a solid piece of wood. For the bottom of the tank i was going to just glue and screw the plywood to the bottom. so once its on the stand there will be 2x4s supporting it. so there will be a 1.5" screw and either wood glue or gorilla glue every 3-4"s or i could put a few 1x3s inside but then i will need to put atleast 1" of sand to cover them up
