LOL man over night the thread became quite something....haha just trying out a new product to see how it worked, i didnt beleive it at first, saw this quite awhile back in Singapore and I thought it could never be done or even if it was possible but from the looks of it, seems to work. Finally had some time to play around with the stuff, still have no idea how it works though.

Wait is that safe ? Cuz I might just be crazy enough
So, do you want him to take the fish back to lfs for credit, put it back where he caught it, or find out whether the product is safe?

I hope you just did this for pictures..... Supporting this kind of crap is an easy way to encourage a lot of other fish to be killed. No it can't be done, and everyone knows it only kills the fish faster.

If you where a noob, everyone would be flaming. If you where putting your azuls in saltwater everyone would be freaking out. But you slowly kill a trigger and no one gives a ****. This is so pathetic...

Where is your extensive research behind this and months of acclimation? Especially with a trigger already that size even what your trying to do could not be accomplished due to the size of the fish. Maybe if you where breeding them or had a fresh batch of babies. Even then they would die younger and slowly rot in fresh water.

first overstocking is okay, then jdm, now this.... MFK is going down because of stuff like this...

i agree 100%. and i agree 110% with whats in red. ive spoken to a few people that are fish keepers, but not on MFK. i was suprised to find how many people have a negative view of this site because of the fads and styles that take place here, all because theyre considered to be "cool" or the "in-thing".

things like this and the whole JDM thing take away the sites credibility when it comes to responsible fish-keeping. just my two cents.

The overwhelming consensus is that this is wrong. Personal opinion aside, the "public" opinion on this the largest fish keeping community on the internet says that this practice is wrong.

There really is no argument one could make to change peoples opinions on this matter and to try just furthers the appearance of ignorance and immaturity.

Good people, good knowledgeable people pour hours of their time and energy into educating new and inexperienced fish keepers on this site and by doing so give the entire community credibility.

Then there are people like this OP. There are many people struggling with stocking choices, tank sizes and maintenance routines. We really didn't need to add this aspect of confusion for the inexperienced.

If this was doable, it would have been done. If it was at all possible it would have happened years ago. If there was any way to make this happen it would be common practice by now. I vote that backwards, sadistic and quite frankly dangerous experiments with living creatures be kept to yourself.

PS

By dangerous I'm talking about the dozens of threads that could potentially pop up of eager new fish keepers asking advice and for answers as to why this type of stocking isn't working for them. Dangerous because it could put into question the credibility of this massive pool of knowledge.

If a single salt water fish dies in freshwater due to an experiment inspired by these pictures it wasn't worth it.
So, how does your foot taste? :footinmou

No offense, Jose, but how those fish keepers you talked to have a negative view of this site when they are not on MFK?

You sure have a lot of clever little comebacks for someone who can hardly put together a proper sentence. What's your intense interest in defending this and why hasn't this troll been given a time out?
