And freshwater dipping is risky and stressful enough.

Not to mention this was obviously not a fresh water dip. The poor trigger has been living its whole life in saltwater then is tossed into a huge tank with pbass. That thing is stressing, and he has no intent to remove. Otherwise he would have correctly freshwater dipped it in a tank that wouldn't take 20 mins to retrieve it. Please mods don't take this as negative or calling you guys out but, isn't this your job to make sure people understand this stuff is not okay? Also that overstocking shouldn't be done if properly taken care of? Where have you guys been?

The op has still not come forward and tried to redeem himself by stating this was not permanent. What a shame for such an awesome fish to have to suffer through......

Congrats! You did it! That's what I called "Think Outside The Box!" :cool-1: When will you ship it to me for the 500? :naughty:

Yea, he can try to redeem himself, but he stressed that poor fish, just for some attention from "kids" on mfk..... :irked:

Attention is what most seek here now....

If there is years, or heck even months behind this "experiment" I will take back my newly formed opinion of this thread and person. There are marine biologists for a reason though.... Also judging from the conditions, there was no real logic in this.

I do agree with this. Seems to be more "shock value" in post now then questions and useful information being passed around.

I'm in agreement with thecanuck on this one, this fish will not have its normal lifespan, it will die, its just a matter of time.
FYI, none of the fish kept in aquarium will have its normal lifespan. All will die, just a matter of time ;)

There's no different between this and a 12'x2'x2' :grinno: It's all about attention! ;)

It doesn't always take a mod to resolve issues. So long as the conversation remains respectful, it's perfectly fine for members to let the OP know what they think of this practice.

I don't agree with this practice, and I think it's cruel but is my telling him it's wrong going to change anything? Especially if it's being done for shock value?
