LOL man over night the thread became quite something....haha just trying out a new product to see how it worked, i didnt beleive it at first, saw this quite awhile back in Singapore and I thought it could never be done or even if it was possible but from the looks of it, seems to work. Finally had some time to play around with the stuff, still have no idea how it works though.

You're headbanger, but at least you're one of the very few using his/her head :D I don't think it's weird. It's just the matter if you have the nerve and resource to experiment the product on different species.... Want to see Shamu in freshwater? :naughty:

Well I think most of us thought he just threw In his trigger in without science. I want to know if that product works??!!

As did I think the same thing.

If you're curious about the product, feel free to do a search of the forum or start a thread in the approopriate folder.

It's obvious this thread was created to shock folks and stir the pot. It worked. I'm not impressed in the slightest.

For that reason I am closing this thread and will be asking the admin to review this for possible further action.

I see they have yet to engineer in a better pH range for this product over the several that have tried the markets since the 70s.
I think it's an amazing product that may have many benefits towards treating species with bath regimens under less stress. However, I can't see any long-range benefits in keeping species in chemistries totally different from those they've evolved in. While some or most short-term needs may be met with the use of this product, there are most likely long-term negative effects on the fish due to inefficiencies or over-efficiencies in the production, transfer, and utilization of hormones, amino acids, proteins, etc. Any of these conditions could attribute to shorter life spans, increased disease susceptibility, renal and hepatic dysfunction, lower egg fecundity, and dementia from neural breakdown.
I'd be willing to test such a product for long term effects. But, to be honest, I wouldn't do so with any fish I value. There are just too many unanswered questions at this point.
