Angelfish Spawn!

my male kills just about everything you put in the tank. I started with 6 small Angels and over two months time he had bully the others to the point of death. He was getting so big i couldn't buy smalls any more. So i bought one med. to test how he would react? to this day he has never once picked on that fish. Must have got lucky when picking it cause now i have a pair. I know Angel are suppose to be in groups of 4 or more but in scared he will kill them and there not cheep.

This thought came across my mind. If there are no other tankmates in the tank that you know of, that doesn't mean that the angelfish knows there are no tank mates. for all the pair of Angelfish knows there could be some egg eaters in the plants waiting for the right moment. so basicly what I'm getting at is that the parents are paranoid. That could be what is causing them to eat there eggs.

you get it?

the tank mates are as followed 6 or so ghost shrimp. couple guppys, 4 glass fish, and i think that it.

Ok, then I have no idea why they keep eating there eggs.

Hey RedDevil,
What do you think about this? If I put the parents into a 20g and they had it all to them selves. Do you think that after they settled in they would breed in it? becuase that would mean that I could leave the eggs in with the parents til the were free swimming (After that I could put them in a 10 gal). That way I could see if the parents would raise them. Because it is a lot of work to raise them my self. I'm sure it would take them a few trys, but what do you think about that? I've heard that there is a higher success rate when the parents raise them...
