Angelfish Spawn!

They are fighting. The male is still guarding the eggs.
The female trys to get back but the male fights her back. Then they both fight.
Both fish are missing some scales and their fins are beet up a little.
It's like they face off. They spread out there fins and turn side ways then advance on each other.
 
Now it seems that they have forgiven each other. Is it normal for Angelfish parents to do things like that? Banish one of the parents, then welcome it back in?
 
Congrats on the eggs!!! My angels fight all the time when its mating time... lol They do beat each other up and get a little ragged looking but go back to normal soon after.

As far as food, I have had good success with frozen baby brine shrimp and as they get older, use the "small bites".
 
Ok. Just wondering if that was normal.
Saturday I think that I will go to the petstore and get Frozen baby brine, and Small bites.

Are "First bites" and "Small Bites" the same thing?
 
LOL... whooopsss... Yeah, that's what I meant to say. I think my angels went on a break so I haven't really done any baby caring lately. They were like machines for a while! Good luck!!!
 
Wow looking fantastic. What a lot you got.

I seen people here using crushed up (into powder) tetra discus bits for some of the first food.
 
Never heard of that food. I'll see if they have a small container of it when I go to get the frozen BBS.
When I feed them Frozen BBS, should i make sure that they are all the way defrosted? I would think so...
 
Hope that tonight goes as well as last night. Especially after there little fit they had.
