Angelfish Tankmates

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Other than what I currently deciding between, are there any other fish that you think may go well with my current stock list?
So you've got a good amount of middle tankers (Angels,bp,sev, geo, acara) and some nice bottom feeders (catfish, bgk, feather, pleco, eel) so maybe a top swimmer that's mild mannered and reasonably sized or a school of too dwelling small fish (danios, tetras, hatchet fish) something interesting that can attract attention and spread aggression in tank (especially with cichlids) it would be cool in ur tank

I'm not sure how smaller fish may do with a bgk. I've ordered one in at my lfs. The first one came in dead, and they still haven't gotten the second one in. I've been waiting months for this fish, and I'm not going to tell my lfs that I'm not interested in the fish and they can keep it. It may work, considering that the bgk is a bottom dweller, and these fish are top dwelling.

I do see that you acknowledged that I am getting a bgk. Do you believe it will work?

Ya a bgk is totally compatible with ur set up just give him his own tube/cave/pipe and it'll leave the others alone. Definetly gonna need to research on feeding so it isn't out competed by faster cichlids. And ya top dwelling speedy school will totally work as dithers for ur cichlid, and interesting cover at the top, and the bgk is not nearly fast enough to catch them and if it gets one occasionally it is easily replaceable since they are so cheap so I hope u get his bgk already so I can see it!
